Test Review

Today was our "BIG DAY"--test review!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember the following for tomorrow
--Unit 5 Circles and Graphs Post-Test
--Unit 6 Symmetry Pre-Test
--Culminating Task for Unit 5 is DUE
I'm going to put a CRCT count down clock on my side bar...so we all know exactly how much time is left before the test.
Please take the time to study your notes tonight.

Unit 5 Circles and Graphs "Mini" Task

Today we started a "mini-task" to help everybody get ready for the culminating task. We worked on changing percents to fractions to decimals and then finding out what the angle measure would be on our circle graph.

Tomorrow I will not be at school. I will be on an educational field trip at the Morris Museum. I'm excited about this adventure.

Don't forget to bring back your Ft. Discovery field trip permission slips! That trip is scheduled for February 12th.

Circumference, Diameter, Pi; what's it all mean?

We did A LOT of learning today!

First we started by reviewing the difference between radius and diameter. Remember Lady Di and her son, Radius? Then we reviewed how to find the circumference. Bring back memories of Sir Cumference?

Then several of you made the discovery that inverse operations would change the algebraic equation and it would still work!!! WOW!!!!!

Remember:

C=3.14 times d OR C/D=3.14 OR C/3.14=D

Please note that I can't show all our great signs and symbols when I am typing. Boy I wish somebody would make a program that allows me to use algebraic notation. (Like the multiplication sign and pi)

Homework: Complete the reverse side of your worksheet. Extra credit if you answer the last question on the front.

Tomorrow: Computer Lab! Don't forget your earphones/head phones if you need them.
